The WattStock team is uniquely positioned to assist clients buy and sell generation assets and assess the condition of assets. In the course of our CTP™ work, we have developed broad knowledge of global asset availability and the requirements of developers deploying refurbished equipment. We combine that knowledge with deep expertise in assessing, valuing, and negotiating power equipment transactions, to deliver timely and accurate recommendations for our clients.
BUY-SIDE
We assist clients in finding and acquiring power equipment. There are many reasons generation assets become surplus: expired PPAs; changing power market conditions; changing environmental regulations; and cancelled projects. Whatever the reason, WattStock understands current market valuations and conditions and can leverage that understanding to help a client procure the best equipment at the best possible price – as opposed to simply brokering. Our key personnel each have over 30 years of experience in the power generation business with specific expertise in project due diligence, secondary market equipment reports, plant and equipment valuation, technical inspection, and equipment logistics.
SELL-SIDE
We assist clients sell surplus equipment. When a client needs to sell surplus power generation assets, WattStock helps them maximize the value. Achieving the highest possible sales price for our client means finding the right buyer and understanding that buyer’s project requirements. A major obstacle for buyers of used and secondary market equipment is the inherent risk associated with purchasing “As-Is, Where-Is.” On behalf of the seller, WattStock collaborates with OEMs to secure warranties, service agreements, and other critical items important to the buyer and the buyer’s lender to eliminate or manage those risks.
